This photo was taken about a month or more ago but I was a blog slacker for a spell and I never got around to posting it.  But all of those freebies really add up.  I keep freebies I know I will use and add the rest to my to-donate box.  So nothing goes to waste!

** This is an awesome donation item if you don't need it yourself!  I know it's not free but it's a HUGE savings on what I think seems like a wildly expensive item.  Think of how grateful a momma and baby will be to receive such a healthy donation item!

Lobstah Mobstah

Oh me, oh my!  I had THE BEST dinner on Saturday night. 

Fresh lobster with clarified butter, corn on the cob from the farmer's market, Caresse salad and Brussels sprouts.

NOT my typical meal.  Very rare, actually.

But in the end, I spent less on this meal than I would at McDonald's.

I finally found a beer rebate, y'all!  Ahhhh!  Can you hear the choirs of angels?  No?  Well that's probably because they don't sing for beer rebates.  But still...I was excited.

Stuck right to the Blue Moon case of beer was this fine little gem.  No beer purchase required.  Simply purchase $12 or more worth of seafood and you can get a rebate for $10.

I purchased two lobsters that were just a tad over 1 lb each.  Totaling $13.78.  I will get a rebate of $10.  Do the math.  That's 2.25 lbs of fresh, live lobsters for just $3.78.  Crazy!

So most of these days are over but for the record, here's the grand total for what I purchased on Saturday at Price Chopper.

Total value purchased ... $34.27

Paid out of pocket ... $16.31

Percentage saved ... 52%

Rebate expected ... $10

Total paid after rebate ... $6.31

Similac Advanced was marked down to $5/each.  And wouldn't you know, I had a bunch of $5 coupons.  Hello FREE formula!

The Gerber was marked down to $13.  I had a $10 coupon.  So just $3!

Tylenol Precise was marked down to just $3, normally $7.99 (I think).  I had seven (had to do this in two transactions) $3 coupons.  All for FREE.

Cherries were not on sale but I wanted a snack.  :)

And minus my snack-o-cherries, this will all be donated to those in need.

I've never heard of this company but their graphics are adorable (also the way I pick out wine, by the way!) and love that they want to provide green and clean care for kiddos.  Seeing as I wear baby lotion (oh the purple Johnson's bottle is like crack....I wear that ever night before bed...so relaxing) and baby sunscreen (my practically albino skin is all about SPF 50+...don't judge as I will be pretty when 60 and others will be a hot mess-o-leathery-wrinkles) and baby food (those squeeze tubes of apple sauce are completely awesome when on the go I have recently discovered), I have a feeling I might just love using Bud's on myself.

Free Trial: Diapers

I've read about this little company.  It's owned (or at least in part I believe) by Jessica Alba.  The entire focus is to provide non-toxic diapers with really cutie patootie prints on them.

In the article I read a few months ago, Jessica said that she researched diapers a lot before her first baby and bought the only non-toxic brand she could find.  And they were an ugly brown color.  Only to find out they were just as toxic as your regular variety.  So she spent that whole first year making her baby wear an ugly brown diaper for nothing.

That's where her heart for this company started.

I love a good story like that, don't you?

I also love when companies share samples.  At the moment (these things tend to end with no warning), you can sign up for a free trial of the product.  I'll be curious to read if y'all like them as much as you like your normal variety of diaper.

And if nothing else, it's always good to have extra diapers on hand.

I know this blog is about coupons but I think this is a fun (old) post to share from my main blog.  Years ago I did a tutorial on how to make ribbon ruffle baby socks.  They can be made a rock bottom prices too.  Over the last year there have been so many opportunities to buy kiddy socks at Target for nearly free.  And every crafter has ribbon scraps hanging around the house.  Take a glance and let me know if you give it a try.  I promise it will be the EASIEST sewing project ever and it is sooo inexpensive (possibly even free) to make!

There Are Still Tickets Left
