Update: Thanks Sheila!  I actually scheduled this post a day ago but Blogger has a mind of its own these days and am only hopping on blogs for the first time now.  I didn't notice the fine print but it seems that the coupons need to be used on an item of $5 or more.  It does still make for a great deal though as they also sell (I think) the larger cans for (don't quote me- I will check tomorrow y'all) @$7. 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this deal!  My Junior League collects baby diapers and formula to donate and I love being able to pick up things for FREE.  But these are great to have on hand for new moms, even if you are breastfeeding.  Or to give to friends. 

Click the image above to print out a $5/1 coupon for Enfamil formula.  After the first coupon starts printing, hit back page two or three times so that you can print a second coupon.  You should be able to print two coupons per computer. 

Then head to Walmart.  Where the small cans of Enfamil sell for $4.97 (at my store- I've read others saying they sell for even less in some areas).  After the coupon, it's completely FREE and possibly even a money maker if you can find it for less.

So please promise me that you will do this deal and donate the baby formula if you don't already plan to use it.  Formula is soooo expensive and soooo appreciated by food banks!

A week or so ago, Walmart reduced the price of some bath/beauty gift packs online.  The box for this gift pack claims it to be a $23 value.  Ouch!  That seem insane, but it's what the box says so I am just sticking with that.  I paid just $6.50.  Plus tax and shipping, my total came to $8.07.  Plus there is an offer in the box for a free subscription to Allure magazine.  OR....if you don't want the subscription to Allure (I don't- I get so many magazines already.), you can send in for a $9 rebate.  I am not sure yet if they will send me the price I paid or the full $9 (would be a $0.93 profit).  Either way, win win win for me. 

I love Olay products.  I need a new puffy thing.  And Venus razors are my absolute favorite.  Free is my favorite price.  And shipped directly to my house is my favorite way to shop.  Plus...just look at all the coupons that were inside the box too!  They don't expire until 12/12 so I just know I will be able to get some great deals this year with them.

One Lonely Deal and Answers

First things first....  Please accept my apologies.  I am just not going to be on here much this week.  I am in the middle of the first of three huge projects.  Oh and Christmas is in there too.  I have yet to even clip the coupons from two Sundays ago.  Gasp!

Second....  My favorite CVS.  It's in Latham, next to the Lowes.  I live closest to the ones in the Atrium but I don't like that one at all.  The store and the employees are not exactly my favorites.  But in general, I find CVS employees to be the most well versed on coupons and the stores to be well stocked.

Third...  I will do a post about the details at some point, but I do not shop at Walgreens.  I have had too many wretched experiences there and it just is not worth it in my book.  I think their customer service, from the store on up to corporate, is hands down the worst.  Worse than Walmart.  I also don't like their rewards system.  Or specifically the rules on coupons to items purchased.  I don't want to have to buy junky crap to use a coupon.  Not cool.

Fourth...  So far this is the only deal I have done this week.  I need to find a few at CVS though as I have ECB's expiring at the end of this week.  Gah!  I have no time.  But I was happy to get this Lysol kit from Rite Aid today.  The cashier was suspicious of the VV coupon though.  I was like, it's from your own website!  Ha.  Anyway, I was happy.  I wanted one of these to use in a Christmas gift and was hoping to find a deal this week.  Yay!

Better Than Free At Walmart...But For A Price

I picked this up on Sunday evening but am just getting around to posting now.  You see, I lost those $6/2 Schick coupons a long time ago.  So not like me.  But I found them on Sunday morning- the day they were to expire.  So I ran over to Walmart and picked up what you see above.  I also used the FREE Dr. Pepper 10 coupons. 

Which made this transaction a money maker for me. 

But...

Oh there is always a but at Walmart.

The cashier.

Always the cashier.

She said I shouldn't be allowed to use the coupons because it would make my total so low.  I replied, cheerfully and with confidence, that it would actually make it a money maker and she would owe me cash.  I referred to their coupon policy.

She said she had to ask someone.  OK, I said cheerfully, knowing I was 100% following the Walmart Coupon Policy. 

But she just stood there.  Like a bump on a log.  For at least five minutes.  When the store was fairly empty so there was no reason she couldn't ask for a manager.  Just stood there.

Finally I asked what the hold up was and she said she had to ask a manager because she knew I couldn't use these coupons.  I again said OK.  So she again stood there.  Didn't pick up her phone.  Didn't motion to a single person.  Didn't make her number sign blink (they do that at Target- not sure if they do it too at Walmart).  Just stood there.  Motionless.  Except when she would stare at the coupons.

Again, after about five minutes I asked what was going on.  So she left her station to go stand in the customer service line.  Behind like 10 other people.  Five or more minutes later, never reaching the customer service desk (I had a full view of this strange move), she returned showing me that the coupon states one coupon per purchase.  I said yes, purchase.  Items purchased.  I was purchasing four items.  The word purchase does not mean transaction. 

She walked away.  Ticked off at me.

So then she went and stood in the manager office.  I could see her but not the manager.  But she was there for over five minutes.  Are you adding up the time so far? 

Finally she came back, disgruntled that she was likely told I was completely in the right, and put it through, grumbling under her breath. 

Finally, the cashier next door asked if she needed help.  And lo and behold, without the help of a single person, it all worked just fine. 

Seriously!  I stood there for more than 20 minutes because this girl was likely never trained.  In anything.  From the store coupon policy to how to act with a general polite attitude.

In then end she handed me @ $3.  Which was the only reason I went to Walmart in the first place.  Because I knew I would make a few bucks. 

Sadly, this is one of my better Walmart stories. 

Overage At Walmart

I won't do a breakdown because I find prices, especially at Walmart, to vary so greatly.  And this is less about what I bought and more about using coupons to your advantage.

Those Breathe Right strips are just $0.97 each and we have coupons for $1.50/1.  So each little package not only paid for its own tax, but it also gave me overage to help pay for the rest of my shopping trip.

Don't judge me on the ice cream.  I am having a crummy week. 

Walmart Trip

I know many folks love the mart but I have to say I just don't.  I don't think I have ever walked out with more than 50% of my list.  I often walk in with a list at least 15 items long and walk out without anything.  Because they don't have things in stock.  Not even special sale items.  It is just so hit or miss and also such a ridiculous hot mess inside there.

But I wanted to try to snag the elusive $4 Scrubbing Bubbles.  Which by the way I have not found after going to three Walmarts and one Walgreens.  Has anyone in the Cap Region found them? 

It's crockpot season so I picked up a few boxes of lines with print coupons that have since expired.  Two Renuzit cones, only because they were free with print coupons (no longer available).  Breathe Right because they were money makers.  And dog food because they dog gets hungry twice a day.  Each bag was $2.48 after coupons.  Not an incredible deal but still pretty good for our favorite brand.

Has Anyone Found Scrubbing Bubbles At Walmart Yet?

So I made a quick run into my second Walmart in search of the free after coupon Scrubbing Bubbles.  I went to the Latham store on Sunday and they said that it would be at a Super Center.  So I went to East Greenbush Super Walmart today and they didn't have it either. 

Has anyone in the Cap Region found them?  I've pretty much reached my max as far as trips to Walmart.  I just do not have the patience to look down any more disorganized aisles.  Seriously, why do they have things so scattered?

For example, I also had two coupons for $0.75/1 any Nesquik that I intended to use on the little $1 packs.  (Coupon found on coupons . com but if you go through Swagbucks, you will earn points back for each coupon used!  Just sign up using the link if you've not already and then go to the coupons page.)  I went down the Drink and Drink Mix aisle first.  I didn't even see any drink mixes there actually.  Then I went down another aisle that had water and some drink mixes.  But no chocolate milk mix.  Then the cereal aisle that had some drink mixes too but not Nesquik.  Then another- baking maybe- and no luck.  I can't even remember where I found it but it was not anywhere one would think it would be.  Why can't they just have all the drink mixes in the aisle labeled drink mixes?  Ah!

More Hasbro Game Deals : Just $3.99

OK so if you missed the price matching score at Walmart with the Big Lots ad last week, you can still score great game deals tomorrow at Toys R Us.  Or if you are like me and that store gives you hives, you can go to Walmart and price match.  Walmart claims you don't need the ad but I advise bringing it just in case.

So the deal is that the games are on sale for just $7.99.  Which is honestly a pretty good sale price.  But we have a slew of $4/1 coupons from a few weeks ago that we can use to bring the price down to just $3.99. 

OK so they are not quite as great as the Big Lots/Walmart deal but that is still a really great price for a $20 game.  I already bought enough for my family kiddie gifts but plan to go buy a few more as Toys For Tots donations.

I Price Matched At Walmart And Lived To Tell About It!

I did it, y'all!  And it was not nearly as scary as I thought it would be.  The check out gal didn't even ask me for the ad, which I did have in my bag just in case.  I've read that a bunch of people were able to score any Hasbro game at $5 as the ad is sort of vague so that was the gamble I took.  And it totally worked!  These games range from about $14 to $25 but I bought every single one for just $5 with the price match.  Then I used (3) $4/1 and (2) $5/1 coupons.  Such a score!  I'm half finished with my kiddie Christmas shopping now.

Oh and I finally used up the last two of my $1/1 Cascade coupons while I was there.  A little random but I wasn't sure I would be back in a Walmart before they expired this coming week.

Babies Are Expensive But Coupons Make A Difference

So I ran into a sweet gal who was patiently waiting behind me and my coupon madness Saturday night in Walmart.  Now for the record, I was super organized.  But as we all know, sometimes things pan out and sometimes they don't.  It all comes down to the cashier.  And while the guy was very nice to me, he was sllllooooowww and not familiar with my coupons. 

But in the end, I held fast and was rewarded with getting all of this baby formula for a $3.08 PROFIT!  Seriously. 

I have been saving these baby formula coupons for a while now.  To the extend that sadly, four of them expired a few days before I thought to use them.  Ugh I loathe when that happens!  But my Junior League is collecting baby diapers, wipes and formula to support local Hurricane Irene victims.  So I was cashing in all of my baby stuff coupons for our baby drive.  I do not have a baby (salt...wound...sniff) but I signed up thinking I would give donations to my local food pantry.  And I do usually.  But my JLA drive takes priority at the moment. 

So the sweet gal behind me asked me where I got all of the coupons.  And actually, I wasn't entirely sure.  I know I signed up for most of them (these were all mailed to me) when I first started couponing.  I was not keeping notes on things back then (not that I really keep many notes now but at least I have a better point of reference these days).  So I've done some digging.  As I find more baby coupons, I will update this post. 

Gerber coupons- sign up via email.  See all those cans of Gerber formula?  That's only a fraction of what I've been able to buy for cheap and sometimes FREE with the coupons they mail to me after you fill in your information online.  A GREAT resource!

Similac coupons.  Sign up here.  See those big things of Similac formula?  Those were actually better than FREE.  I have others with a pink top that were @$0.50 after coupons.  They've sent me a few samples too- though I am not sure if that was a special at the time or if they do it for everyone.  Worth signing up either way. 

Enfamil coupons.  Sign up here.  Like Gerber and Similac, Enfamil sends awesome coupons!  These were the ones that were expired this shopping trip.  Sadly.  But they would have made for very inexpensive formula.

Johnson's baby goods coupons.

Huggies.  It looks like there is only a deal for those able to shop at a commissary.  But perhaps they update with other coupons now and then?  I'll have to check back and update is I see more deals on here. 



Another resource for great, high value coupons is from all the freebies I post on here.  Sign up to get a sample of various products like diapers and wipes and baby foods sent to you and they usually come with coupons too.  This includes all the magazines.  I only ever post magazines if they are truly free.  But there are often lots of great coupons between those glossy pages. 


The Sunday papers frequently have baby coupons.  Ask your neighbors to save those for you if they don't have babies and you do.  I can't imagine anyone refusing to give you coupons if they are not going to use them anyway. 


Amazon often runs one day sales on things like diapers, wipes and baby foods such as those squeeze things.  I will try to be better about posting those deals when I spot them.  But keep your eyes open if you are looking for something specific.  Amazon super sale prices are great but tend to end without warning after they sell a certain volume of product. 


My mecca, Target, offers great coupons.  Remember that at Target, you can use a Target store coupon AND a manufacturer coupon on the same item.  Stack up those savings, baby!  Ditto at Rite-Aid and Walgreens and CVS.  Do note though that sometimes the coupons posted at store sites (such as Target), are actually manufacturer instead of store coupons.  This is good because you can use them anywhere but it means you can't stack it with another manu coupon at Target.


And finally (for now...), make sure you're using Swagbucks instead of Google.  Why?  OMG if you have to ask why...  No, I kid.  But seriously, Swagbucks rocks my pink socks.  Sign up following this link.  Then download the toolbar.  Instead of doing a google or other similar search, just use Swagbucks.  You earn points when you do searches (and daily polls and use coupons and download the toolbar, etc).  Then you can cash in those points for gift cards to places like Amazon.com.  Use your gift cards to buy diapers or really anything you like.

Dear Sweet Lady In Walmart Tonight

OK...first I am so sorry I didn't even introduce myself.  I'm KK and I was mortified that it was taking soooo long to use those coupons.  I used some last night at the Hoosick Street Walmart and it took all of two seconds. 

Second...come back tomorrow and I will do my best to get a post up with links to the baby coupons.  I need to first figure out where I got them.  But they're so worth it because did you notice that I got eight containers of baby formula and the store PAID me $3 and change?

FREE Shopping With Coupons

Man alive, I love couponing!  I can't believe how much fun it can be when you put in a little time.  I very much treat it as a game.  Sort of a beat the store thing I have going in my head.  Hmmm...that sounds a little crazier that it is in real life.  I really just mean to say that I don't take it as serious as others.  I don't flip out if a store runs out of an item (I just get a rain check and move on).  And I don't make special trips. 

But I happened to notice that a few of my coupons were expiring yesterday.  Actually, a neighbor who gives me her coupons was a few weeks behind.  So the coupons for the Tide and Cascade just came to me on Tuesday night and were expiring on Wednesday.  The Ball pectin was free with coupons and the jars were not free but I had coupons about to expire and I just really wanted the pretty shaped jars before they all disappear for the year. 

The dog treats ...I actually can't remember where I got that coupon.  I know it was sent to me.  Probably from one of the free things I post on here all the time.  The coupon was for a FREE bag of those dog treats.  Not a brand I was familar with but I am happy to give my fur baby something new.  As if she really needs more treats in her life though- ha.  It was funny because the print on the coupon was microscopic.  So I didn't notice the date until Tuesday evening.  Thankfully I planned to run over near PetSmart anyway so it all worked out.  But I also didn't notice the "not to exceed" price under the word FREE.  These free coupons are usually for items @$2.  This "not to exceed" price turned out to be the exact price of the bag of treats.  $9.99!  So I got that giant bag (not sure if you can see how large it is in the photo) for just tax, $0.80.  Talk about a high value coupon!

This turned into a very rambling post but my point is that with the exception of the Ball jars, everything in the above photos was free with coupons.  Not too shabby, my friends!

Walmart Finds

I was over by the big Walmart for a meeting yesterday so I braved the crazy and went inside.  I had more of the beloved $1/1 (any size) Cascade coupons so I snagged six bags of the trial size.  I have a HUGE supply of the Finish tabs so I don't feel like I am wasting a high value coupon on the trial size.  Plus I am thinking those might be a cute topper for a housewarming gift.

And I don't really know what these are but with the coupon, I paid @$0.50 total for those two boxes of little take along pads.  I don't buy many donate items that aren't free but decided that might be something folks need.  I tend to donate a lot of baby formula so I was thinking that they went along with my baby/prego momma theme.

FREE Cascade, Degree Deodorant and Tide Laundry Detergent

Well I am STILL waiting for my Sunday paper to be delivered.  Last week it took me until Wednesday.  This week...well we'll just have to see.  Times Union...I seriously do not understand you!  You still make it nearly impossible for anyone without a 518 phone number to subscribe and then you rarely deliver the service I've already paid for.
