First Stop: Rite-Aid

I have finally figured out that if I really want to snag a deal, I have to do so on a Sunday.  Even then, there is no guarantee.  Like last week at Walgreens, I never did get myself any of the Clean and Clear body wash and now the BOGO coupons are expired.  Sad, because they smell so pretty.  But in general, I do better the first day of sales.  Go figure- ha!

I have plenty of laundry detergent, but $0.03/load is my "stock up" price.  Before couponing, I only ever used Tide.  But I've found that I really like Wisk and Purex too.  And as Tide is crazy expensive (something I never once realized before couponing- seriously never ever even once compared prices!), it's a darn good thing that I like these other two brands.  So with the coupon, Purex 33 load is just $0.97 or $0.03/load.  My store had tons in two displays, so I felt totally OK using all six of my coupons.

And even though every other coupon blogger and everyone on the TLC Extreme Couponing show boasts that they get free toothbrushes all the time, today was the first time since starting this coupon journey on January 01 that I was able to find them, after rewards, for free.  Actually they were a bit of a money maker after rewards!  So while it may seem small to you, it felt like a huge score to me!
